| Pantara 62
|
|
The new Pantara
62 imagesetting system is created from the ground up
for recording A1, B2, and 4-up impositions on film,
RC paper or paper or polyester backed plate materials.
The Pantara 62 recorder can image a full 62.5cm (24.625
inches wide, and features nine resolutions up to 3,048
dpi as well as imagesetting at speeds up to an incredible
190cm (77.6") per minute. |
| The evolutionary
design of the Pantara 62 system makes high productivity
available for applications where larger format documents
are required. The Pantara 62 system takes advantage
of Dual Page Buffering and the Multiport interface to
maximize throughput together with a very high speed
spinner. |
| While one plate
is imaging, the recorder can accept data from up to
four Panther RIPs simultaneously, creating a production
"assembly line." |
| The Pantara 62
system includes new features to make handling large
films or plates easy and convenient. The drive-motor
assisted take-up cassette can accept as much as 75 meters
(246 feet) of media -- an entire supply roll. Or, media
can exit through the optional integrated transport directly
to an online processor without an intermediate buffer
or bridge. Optional head and tail punches allow exact
positioning to match a variety of registration systems
and presses, facilitating highly productive direct-to-plate
operation. |
| When the Pantara
62 recorder is connected to an online processor, media
output is in the form of cut sheets. A dialog box in
the Panther RIP allows users to automatically increase
the defined page size to accommodate head and/or tail
bend requirements. |
| The Pantara 62 recorder
is fast. Imaging at 190cm (77.6") per minute at 1016
dpi, the Pantara 62 completes an A1 form in just 26
seconds! And there's no additional media load or unload
time to cause built-in delays as there are with most
competitive systems. |
| It is supplied
as standard with one PantherRIP III. Alternatively the
Pantara 62 can be installed on any Laserbus system allowing
it to be driven by RipExpress or PrintExpress . The
Pantara 62 system includes two internal Page Buffer
drives. These ensure data flow for constant speed imaging
and allow the system to literally run nonstop when a
steady stream of pages are available. |
| The Pantara
62 imagesetter has a repeatability specification of
±25µm (0.001") over eight plates up to 90cm (35.4inches)
deep, so colour registration is accurate even for long
pages. |
