| Catara 46 |

|
With imaging
speeds up to 135cm (53 inches) per minute and support
for connections to up to four Panther
RIPs, the Catara 46 imagesetter is an ideal
recorder for high volume, tight deadline production
environments. A Catara 46 recorder images on film,
RC paper, or paper or polyester backed plate materials
up to 338mm (13.3 inches) wide at ten resolutions
up to 1200 dpcm (3048 dpi) so you can balance throughput
speed with the requirements of each job. |
| The Catara 46 system
uses Dual Page Buffer drive technology to ensure
constant speed imaging. With one Page Buffer dedicated
to imaging while a second receives data from the
RIP, the Catara 46 recorder doesn't need to pause
between pages. The Multiport option allows a Catara
46 recorder to be configured with up to four RIP
ports to prevent one RIP-intensive job from blocking
the rest of your work behind it. |
| The Catara
46 is supplied with one PantherRIP III. Alternatively
the Catara 46 can be installed on any Laserbus system
allowing it to be driven by RipExpress
or PrintExpress . |
| The Catara
46 colour accuracy meets the demanding needs of
quality-conscious customers, delivering repeatability
of ± 25µm (0.001") over eight consecutive separations
up to 61cm (24 inches) deep. You don't have to worry
that larger format colour pages or an occasional
extra spot colour will exceed the capability of
the recorder. |
| Equipped
with high-capacity supply and take-up cassettes,
the Catara 46 system requires little operator attention.
Media is automatically cut when the take-up cassette
is full, but never in the middle of a page! For
even more automated operation, a Catara 46 recorder
can optionally be interfaced to an online processor. |
